Another one of my "guilty pleasure" books。。。definitely an easy, middle-grade read, but it's sweet and fun。 There isn't really a main conflict, and there are some problems with grammar and point of view as well, but this series is always entertaining when I have some downtime and don't feel like fully focusing on a convoluted plot。 The mentions of ice cream and cupcakes are definitely a plus! Recommended for 4th to 6th graders—or older audiences, like me, who want to sit back and reminisce the mi Another one of my "guilty pleasure" books。。。definitely an easy, middle-grade read, but it's sweet and fun。 There isn't really a main conflict, and there are some problems with grammar and point of view as well, but this series is always entertaining when I have some downtime and don't feel like fully focusing on a convoluted plot。 The mentions of ice cream and cupcakes are definitely a plus! This book is about friendship, teamwork, and of course, desserts。 Mia and her father went to Bayville to visit Mr。 and Mrs。 Sato and their two kids, Kai and Tamiko。 Mia and Katie were worried about what Tamiko would be like, but she actually was a nice person in general。 Throughout the book, Mia was kind of obsessed with black (yet she says she's not goth), Tamiko and her friends were nice, and Kai was basically the male Alexis (or Alexis is the "female Kai" - the book says it all)。 I was impres This book is about friendship, teamwork, and of course, desserts。 Mia and her father went to Bayville to visit Mr。 and Mrs。 Sato and their two kids, Kai and Tamiko。 Mia and Katie were worried about what Tamiko would be like, but she actually was a nice person in general。 Throughout the book, Mia was kind of obsessed with black (yet she says she's not goth), Tamiko and her friends were nice, and Kai was basically the male Alexis (or Alexis is the "female Kai" - the book says it all)。 I was impressed by the idea of a cupcake cone, I could never think of that。 I also liked the storyline, and how the author described each character well。 I also have never seen a boy really like tie dye before in a book, so this is a first。 Now I'm going to die because I don't know how long until book 35 comes out。 I don't want to pressure the author, but please release it soon-Rating: 5/5 Stars 。。。more
